The JSON team recently revealed that JSON Schema is the newest technical project hosted under the OpenJS Foundation. JSON Schema is a vocabulary that allows the annotation and validation of JSON documents. Moreover, JSON Schema defines how a JSON should be structured and provides users with human and machine readable documentation.

“We are delighted to welcome JSON Schema to the OpenJS Foundation. Building a community requires dedicated people and advanced technology, which JSON Schema already has… Like Home to nearly 40 vendor-neutral open source projects, JSON Schema already fits seamlessly into our project ecosystem,” said Robin Ginn, Executive Director of the OpenJS Foundation.

Octopus Deploy acquires Dist

Continuous deployment orchestration software provider Octopus Deploy has announced the acquisition of cloud-native container registry and artifact repository service, Dist. This combination simplifies the process of deploying cloud-native applications with Octopus.

With this, users will also be able to deploy applications faster, achieve compliance goals with retention policies, and minimize storage costs for cloud-native applications.

“Together with the Dist team, we will enable software teams to deliver even more functionality and reduce downtime, with less effort to manage. I am delighted to welcome the Dist team to Octopus Deploy and I can’t wait to see what we build together,” said Paul Stovell, CEO and Co-Founder of Octopus Deploy.

This funding will be used to support the scaling of Lumatave’s go-to-market team and continued innovation for enterprises in designing, building and deploying mobile applications.

The round was co-led by GutBrain Ventures and PBJ Capital and follows a year of growth for Lumatave. Allos Ventures, BioCrossroads, Collina Ventures and 4G Ventures also participated in the funding round.

“This significant round of funding demonstrates confidence in our team, our product and our vision as we continue to accelerate the Lumavate platform and intensify our go-to-market efforts,” said Stephanie Cox, CEO of Lumavate.
