Roguelike Metroidvania Dead Cells Gets “At Least Another Year” Of Free Updates
Dead Cells has been among the best efforts to combine exploration of Metroidvanias with the replayability of roguelike games, and the developers have continued to back it up with a combination of free updates and paid DLC for years since its release in Early. Access. The developers aren’t done either, as they just detailed a new DLC pack and have confirmed that another year of updates is on the way.
The Queen and the Sea is the next DLC pack for Dead Cells, and is slated to launch in Q1 2022 at the regular price of $ 4.99 / £ 4.49 / € 4.99. It will bring a new ending to the game, concluding “the path started with The Bad Seed and Fatal Falls”, and it will feature two new biomes with the Infested Wreckage and the Lighthouse, which will run parallel to High Peak Castle. and the throne room.
The developers of Motion Twin say the DLC will help fund their next project and continue Dead Cells updates. After the DLC launches, they will “post more free content!” And we will continue to do so for at least a year.
