Euro Truck Simulator 2 developers show how pretty Russian water can be
Euro Truck Simulator 2 will then move to Russia, and the developers at SCS Software have already provided us with a nice bit of digital tourism with a preview of the churches that will appear in the Heart of Russia DLC. While the religious experience is enjoyable and all, the last glimpse becomes even more basic, with a look at the water of the country.
Among the wet bodies depicted in the Euro Truck Simulator 2 DLC are the Volga and Oka rivers. We will also see the Vyshnevolotsk Reservoir which, as the developers explain, “has a history dating back to Peter I and has significant social value due to fishing and hydropower production”.
The developers are taking a little creative liberty with the Svir River, however. “Even though this ferry is not used for trucks in real life, we thought that due to the layout of the map and to improve the gaming experience a bit, it would be a good idea to allow also the transport of trucks. “
There is still no release date for the Heart of Russia DLC, but who needs dates when you have pretty rivers? You can see more screenshots on the official site.
Update 1.42 was recently released for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, bringing redesigned force feedback and multiplayer mod support to both truck games.
