Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gets 20gb patch that doesn’t change much
Prepare your network connections, as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is receiving an important patch this week. These are mostly bug fixes and quality of life improvements, but it sets the stage for the upcoming Discovery Tour: Viking Age historical mode, which could explain why the patch size will be 20GB on the most platforms.
Title update 1.3.2 will go live on October 5 at 5 a.m. PDT / 8 a.m. EDT / 1 p.m. BST. On PC, it weighs 20.42GB. It’s just as heavy on Xbox One and Xbox Series S and X, although PlayStation gamers (on PS4 and PS5) get a smaller download, closer to 10GB.
The most notable change is that skill nodes added in post-launch updates will now affect Eivor’s stats as they should. Beyond that, the update changes the difficulty menu to make each of the options clearer, improves menu filters, and fixes a selection of groundbreaking bugs. It’s a bit too much to list here, so you can see the details on the official site – don’t expect anything major in there.
This patch also adds “support” for the upcoming Discovery Tour, which is due to launch on October 19th. Elsewhere on the Valhalla roadmap, another title update and spooky festival is set to land this fall.
