Watch the chrome for miles as the weekly Richland Mall car cruise picks up speed for the season
Car enthusiasts can stock up on mirror paint, shiny chrome, and suped-up engines every Thursday night on the Richland Shopping Center car cruise with classic, vintage, and collectible vehicles.
The weekly event, which runs from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., weather permitting, is sponsored by carcruises.com and Zamigas Properties, which operates the mall and other local venues where the organization cruises take place every week.
âI’ve loved cars since I was little,â said Vito Capaccio, who founded the Auto Cruises website in 2000. âBefore the Internet, we had to rely on print listings to find local auto cruises, in order to so I can see the benefit of listing all the events happening in one place. “
The website provides information on auto cruises across the United States.
Capaccio said cruises can be more than just the chance to see dream cars up close.
âCars are something that can bring people of all walks of life, ages and experiences together,â he said. âCruises are as much a social event as they are an opportunity to see some truly fabulous cars.â
In addition to the Richland cruise on Thursday evenings, Capaccio runs the following cruises throughout the week:
⢠Mondays: King’s Family Restaurant, Monaca
⢠Tuesdays: King’s Family Restaurant, Greensburg
⢠Wednesdays: Galleria in Pittsburgh Mills
⢠Fridays: Union Square shopping center, New Castle
⢠Saturdays: Murrysview Shoppes, Monroeville
⢠Sunday: Sonic Drive-In, McMurray
