ROWE – The May 15 municipal election, which had only one contested race for the Rowe Town Library board, saw all positions filled except for one seat on the Committee of finances yet to be determined.
City Clerk Paul McLatchy III explained that Laurie Pike, who has won both a three-year seat and a two-year seat on the Finance Committee, will have to decide within 30 days of what term she wants, if she does. wish. to accept the role. The other seat will be filled by a joint nomination by the selection committee and the other members of the finance committee.
Christopher Hyytinen was elected to the third available seat on the Finance Committee, for a three-year term.
Eighty-three of the city’s 317 registered voters voted, a turnout of 26.2%, McLatchy said. The only contested race was that of the Rowe Town Library Board of Trustees, which saw Catherine Snyder re-elected with 61 votes out of Lauren Werner’s 19.
