New Firefox browser update and search address bar issue.
HI.
My Firebox browser was updated last night, and this morning my browser is messed up. I managed to find and recover my saved favorites.
But it also gave me the problem of not being able to remove the “search address bar” at the top of the screen. It uses the search bar
in the address bar for search and navigation. what I don’t want, and it doesn’t work anyway, it doesn’t look ..
Fortunately, I can click on the home screen tab icon, which brings me to a google search engine screen (as I set it up as my home search engine screen ), which I can grasp, and that brings me to these pages. This is the firefox.
I went to the settings, but I don’t actually give you the option to remove or disable the search bar and the nativation address bar.
I found this post by someone on the mozila support forum who has the same problem as me.
âWith every UI update there is something that makes me less and less liking Firefox and it becomes harder and harder to do something that I think is reasonable. address suddenly occupies more of the UI is poor design and not only annoys me at the design level, but it doesn’t have to be that big. I * know * it has focus because I did it on purpose.
So how do you turn off this “feature”?
Chosen solution
You can go back to the old AwesomeBar by:
- Type about: config in the URL bar
- Search browser.urlbar.update1 and set it to false
- Search browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus and set it to false
- Restart Firefox “
So I tried doing it, but it doesn’t make any difference, the search bar and the address bar are still there at the top of the screen and still not working. I want him to go.
Can someone help me please.
