Harvest Days is Stardew Valley, but open world
Do you see this farm? You can Go over there. Okay sure, open world games aren’t as original as they used to be, but the lineage of Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, and Stardew Valley-style farming RPGs have generally stuck to more limited worlds, nature of the game. Harvest Days aims to bring more of this exploratory spirit to farming life.
Harvest Days gives you farmland and tasks you with restoring the sleepy town of Duda Village to its former glory. You will manage crops and raise animals to run your farm, and build homes and businesses in the city to attract new residents. You’re going to build relationships with the villagers, go fishing – you know, whatever you expect from this type of game.
The unique gadget for Harvest Days is its open world, which gives you everything from a forest and swamp to a temple ruin and dungeons to explore. There are trucks to drive and other farm vehicles that you can use to speed up the harvest.
Harvest Days is being built by a father-son development team at Family Devs and is set to release on Kickstarter soon. You can keep up to date with the game through the team’s regular devlogs on YouTube.
