CSS exams: screening test scheduled for February 2022: SAPM – Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Settlement Mohammad Shehzad Arbab has said that the selection test for the 2022 Higher Central Service (CSS) competition will take place in February next year. Speaking to APP, he said the pre-test (MPT) based on multiple choice questions before the CSS’s main written exam received Federal Cabinet approval at its last meeting.
SAPM said the selection test was designed to screen serious applicants for the CSS written exam. This would prove to be a âwin-winâ not only for the FPSC, but also for the applicants by saving time for the FPSC, as well as the students.
He said the initiative would reduce the CSS recruiting process from 20 months to 12 months, allowing the FPSC to effectively screen highly motivated candidates for the main CSS exam.
Shehzad said pre-competition testing is practiced around the world. The test did not take into account the domain specific knowledge required to perform in various groups. He said the matter had already been discussed at the Cabinet meeting on December 10, 2019, where the proposal to introduce a drug test before the written exam was not approved.
