Chilliwack high school student receives $ 40,000 scholarship – Chilliwack Progress
A Chilliwack graduate recently received a $ 40,000 scholarship.
Grade 12 Chilliwack High School (CSS) student Kiera Ludlow received the prestigious Cmolik Foundation Post-Secondary Scholarship on May 13 in recognition of her accomplishments in overcoming adversity and excelling in school.
âKiera amply deserves this award because she continues to demonstrate excellent citizenship and integrity,â said Brian Fehlauer, Director of CSS.
The foundation’s selection committee were impressed with Ludlow’s candidacy, his academic goals and his future career aspirations. The award recognizes and honors her hard work and commitment as well as the foundation and is keen to support her as she pursues a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Victoria.
“I have no doubt that Kiera will make all of her dreams come true. She is a good investment in all of our futures,” said Korilea Soltys, CSS career advisor.
In addition to providing funding to students, the Cmolik Foundation provides students with other tools, including access to a mentor, a supportive community of fellow scholars and alumni, as well as access to special events. ongoing (virtual during the pandemic) and professional opportunities.
