The Commission will organize a computer skills test (CPT), comprising three modules: (i) Word processing, (ii) Spreadsheet and (iii) Generation of slides, for Assistants Section positions CSS Officer.

NATIONALITY / CITIZENSHIP

(i) A candidate must be either:

  1. a citizen of India, or
  2. a subject from Nepal, or
  3. a subject from Bhutan, or
  4. a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of settling permanently in India, or
  5. a person of Indian origin who has emigrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar) , Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of settling permanently in India.

Note: Provided that an applicant in categories b), c), d) and e) above is a person in favor of whom a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate for whom a certificate of eligibility is required may be admitted to the examination, but the offer of appointment can only be made after the necessary certificate of eligibility has been issued to him by the Government of India.
