A brief history of Drake’s relationship with Chrome Hearts
Since being officially unveiled earlier in May, Drake’s collaborative collection with Chrome Hearts has already become one of the hottest drops of 2021. The collection was looking to promote his upcoming album, Boy in love certified, and was only released in the Chrome Hearts store in Miami this month. “He wanted things to be heirlooms and to be coveted,” Laurie Lynn Stark said. GQ. “He was very specific about things that have longevity. For example, 10 years from now, if someone says, ‘Oh, do you remember they did this Drake project? What are these few parts that were made? How do you get one? ”
Aside from clothes like hoodies and jeans with CLB x CH hardware, the collection’s treasured heirlooms include co-branded notebooks, key chains and jade scrolls. Since their release in Miami, the pieces from the collection have flooded resale sites like Grailed. Currently, hoodies cost up to $ 7,000 and the Jade Scroll is sold for a whopping $ 8,000.
